Hooray! I am now accepting a very limited number of commissions, each to be completed between September and November 2021. If you have envisioned having a piece of my work in your home in a particular size, color story, mood, or general location, I would love to talk with you about making that vision into a reality!
Creating unique paintings for collectors is a true honor and a privilege and I am excited to work with YOU!
The pieces commissioned by my collectors will be truly unique and will not be made into reproductions or offered as any form of print in my shop or with any company. This artwork will be yours and yours alone! As the buyer, you have exclusive rights to display the artwork in your home and I relinquish my right to reproduce the work for profit (I will still share the piece on social media as may you!). I want this to be a piece of fine art that you can cherish and value for generations to come.
Each painting will be painted in acrylic on fine gallery wrapped cotton canvas OR on un-stretched heavy cotton canvas. If you would like a larger piece of artwork (over 30x40) AND the artwork will need to be shipped, we will go with this route as shipping un-stretched canvas is more cost effective and much safer for the artwork. The painting can be stretched over wooden bars by your favorite local framer (I'll help to coordinate all of this).
In-studio framing is available for 18x24, 24x30, 30x30, 30x40, and 36x36 pieces.
Purchase the commission reservation listing below, for $400. This holds your spot on my calendar.
Once I receive your reservation, we can either keep chatting via email or schedule a Zoom call to solidify all of your commission dreams! Once all the details are ironed out I will send you a welcome packet and contract. The welcome packet includes my previous works for inspiration, inspiration photos you have sent, color choices, my own notes taken during our conversations and finally, the expected delivery date.
Sign commission contract that I send by email.
Pay price of commission and shipping, listed below.
Commission price is in addition to the reservation price.
Shipping is usually $70-100 within the contiguous U.S. (Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada are more, and customs fees are the responsibility of the collector. If shipping costs are of concern to you, please inquire ahead of time for an estimate.) International collectors are welcome as well! We will coordinate shipping cost as we get started based on your location. If you’re local to the Central Coast of California, you are, of course, welcome to pick up your painting from my studio to avoid shipping costs.
I will send the invoice via Paypal, which allows you to securely pay by Paypal or credit card.
Once the commission agreement is signed and paid for, there are no refunds.
5. Painting commences during 2021 based on the agreed-upon start date. Painting is usually completed within 4-5 weeks of beginning.
6. I will email update photos approximately halfway through. Upon completion of the painting, I will send a final photo, and collector gives approval or minor edits. Any extensive edits (as judged extensive by the artist) beyond that are subject to a 15% additional fee.
7. Painting ships to collector!
